Free Printable: Girl Scouts Lined Stationery

Hi everyone!! A lot of what I share with you are printables that I create and use for my own troop.  Last night, our troop wrote letters to a Daisy troop in preparation for our upcoming joint meeting as part of our bridging requirement.  So of course I had to make a fun stationery for the letters;)  Hope you can use it as well!!

In order to keep these printables FREE, I do not offer edits or customization. However, please visit my Etsy shop for customization inquiries and quotes!

For your personal or troop use only.

Free Printable: Card Kit

Hi everyone!!!! I hope you are all having a great start to the new week!!!  Here is a brand new design I just completed.  It's a printable card kit!!  Use the flags to spell out your troop number, the word "THANKS", or whatever you want!!! This would be great to give to guest speakers, volunteers, when your troop goes on field trips, etc.

Print Page 1 of the card kit (Page 2 is instructions)

Cut out the card on the light brown line:

Fold in half:

Cut out all the plaid rectangles:

Fold rectangles in half:

Cut into flags (do not cut the folded side):

I used about 6" of string for mine.  You can make whatever size you want.  With a glue stick, attach one end of the string to the girl in the corner:

Do the same to the other side of the string on the opposite side:

Arrange your flags on the string by folding them over and sliding them around.  Start with your center flags.  Open up the flag and glue inside it.  Fold it over, securing it over the string:

Glue the back of the flag and stick it to the card:

Repeat for the other flags.  Then spell out whatever words or numbers you want to make your mini banner!

Teacher Appreciation Gift Idea: Notepad With Your Child's Handwriting

Hi everyone!!  Teacher Appreciation Week is just around the corner, so I wanted to share an idea that I used last year for my daughter's teacher (and plan to do again this year!).

I tried this idea with several printing/photo companies, and the one that worked best was definitely vistaprint.com.  They have many, many notepad templates, easy photo editing, and of course COUPONS!!  Here is how you can make your child's teacher a special notepad with her/his name written by your child!! (You will need a scanner for the best results.) And they have pens too!!!

Step 1:
Have your child write the teacher's name on plain white paper with a black marker.  Size of name does not matter...you can resize in Vistaprint if needed. Your child can write the school name and a complete colorful design if you choose!!

Step 2: Scan the page into a JPEG format.  All scanners are different, so I'm not showing the specific details of this step.  My scanner has the options to send the image wirelessly to a computer or scan to a memory card or email the image. Any of these options will work fine!

Step 3: Go to Vistaprint.com and begin designing the notepad!  Select Notepad and then Browse Our Designs and then Get Started.

Step 4: For this example, I'll be using design number 1887826.  I changed the color to blue by clicking the blue dot:

Step 5: Click Image, then My Computer and select your scanned image:

Step 6: Drag the image onto the notepad and cover up the Full Name text that is the default:

Step 7: Click the blue dots and drag your mouse to adjust the size of the image to your desired size. At this point, you may choose to be done with the notepad! Click Preview or Next to continue to checkout.  Optional steps to add more images follow.

OPTIONAL STEPS:
To add additional images such as the desk, you can use VistaPrint's image library!
Click Add Images then Image Library then type in keywords such as teacher or books or whatever you want!

Click on the image you want to use, then Add Selected Image.

Once again, just drag the image onto the notepad!

When your design is complete, you can Preview it, then click Next to add to your cart and check out. I guarantee the teacher will love it!!!!  It's personal because it's your child's handwriting, it's useful, and it's sooooo cute;)

Let me know how your notepad project works out!!

Home Decor: Easy Spring Wreath

Hello everyone!!! I hope you all had a fabulous Easter!  We have returned from our Spring Break trip to Florida and are back to the normal routine around here!!  I'm in full Spring cleaning mode, so I spent much of the weekend cleaning out clothes and our disastrous basement!!  I've been listening to the audio book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up (AKA The KonMari method) in hopes of trying to get my home in order!  Has anyone tried this yet?  I've heard wonderful things about it, so I'll keep you posted!

And now for a little easy, inexpensive Spring craft project....

Flower Burlap Wreath:

Supplies Needed:
White Foam Wreath (I used 12" size)
Burlap Garland (I used 5" size)
Glue Gun & Glue Sticks
Artificial Flowers
Straight Pins (optional)
Ribbon

Step 1: Wrap the foam wreath with the burlap garland, securing the starting burlap with hot glue and overlapping a couple inches each time you wrap. Hot glue the ending burlap as well.

Step 2: Play around with the flowers before attaching them to see how they will look....OR do what I did and just start gluing them on with hot glue to one side of the wreath!!  You can't go wrong! Add some leaves too for additional volume and color.

I used straight pins to secure some of the flowers:

Step 3: Add a ribbon and display!!!

Have a great week!!!
:)Jamie
