Free Printable: Sparkle Wall Art

Hi everyone!!!  I know...it's been forever since I've posted!!  Today is my very first day with both kids at school for the whole day!  There were two other days recently too, but my BFF is getting ready to put her house on the market, so I've been helping her out.  More about my not-so-fashionable life down below!  Here is a quick Sparkle printable I'm happy to share!! Great for framing!!

The kids started back to school on August 12th, and we've been back to schedules, homework, dance class, tae kwon do, football, brownies....etc...etc.....!!!!!

I know, I know....I make the cutesy, fancy little signs for my blog and Etsy shop, but my own kids have boring ones!!!! I've used the same exact style since Mya was in preschool (before the days of Pinterest), so I decided to keep them the same through elementary school.

This is the 2nd year that we've done a Back-to-School Party for the neighborhood kids on the first day!  We had an ice cream sundae bar, popcorn, and water balloons!!

We were going to visit family out of town one weekend, so I bought all the supplies to make these nail string projects!  I may have to do a post on how to do this...Mya, my nieces, and I all had a blast with these!

On August 22nd, I celebrated 13 years as a Mary Kay consultant!!!!  Do you think I look younger than 37?  (I hope so, hehehe!!!!!!)

Mason began his final year of preschool!!!

We celebrated Jim's birthday:

We had our first brownie meeting of the new school year!

Mya's school is having a 30-Day Challenge! Each day is a different healthy activity that we, as a family, are encouraged to do.  Last night was wall-sits!!!! Ouchhhhhh!!!! ;)

Okay, only an hour left to get the house cleaned up before school pick-up, so I better get busy!!!!  Hope everyone is having a great few weeks left of the summer!

Where have I been?!!!

Happy Monday, my friends!  Over the last few weeks, I've been consumed with planning the Father/Daughter dance for 168 2nd grade Brownies, working on our children's musical at church, keeping up on my Etsy shop, and then the usual->being a mom and wife!!!  I know you all can relate!!!!! (BTW, my house has been majorly neglected lately, so I have a lot to catch up on today!!!)

The poodle skirt I wore to the dance was made for me by my Grammy about 25 years ago!!!! She made a red one for me and a blue one for my twin sister!  I think I need to dig out a picture from when she gave them to us! (No, it doesn't fit like when I was 12...I have it unzipped a few inches!!)

It was a ton of work to plan an event this large, but I had some amazing volunteers that night and it all came together!  Someone reminded me during the dance to just stop and look around and see how much fun everyone was having....that's what makes it all worth it;)

Have a fabulous week!!!

The Not-So-Fashionable Mom

Valentine's Day, snow days, dances, Girl Scout cookies.....gosh, I had forgotten how crazy the month of February is!!!!  Here is what my family and I have been up to the past few weeks:

Mya's Valentines: Microwave Popcorn attached to cards I made:

Mason's Valentines:  A Thomas & Friends "Gordon" card with little candy trains (We only had to make 11, so I was willing to go overboard with his treats!!)

Valentine Gifts for the Kids:

Mya got socks, gel pens, notebook, stickers, and marshmallow pop:

Mason got gum, marshmallow pop, and some Chuggington trains:

And this is my kitchen in the chaos of Valentine's Day (and pretty much how it looks at some point every day!!!):

Daddy/Daughter Dance!! (of course Mister had to get in one of the pictures!!)

Jim and I got to enjoy a nice dinner out on the day before Valentine's Day while my sister hosted her annual Cousins' Sleepover with the kids!! I forgot to snap a pic of us until we were outside leaving the restaurant!
Daddy and Mya with all her Girl Scout cookies!!!

Enjoy your weekend, my friends! Stay warm and safe out there!!! :)Jamie

The Not-So-Fashionable Mom

Hi, friends!  It's been awhile!  With the kids home for snow days and the usual chaos, it's been a little bit of a challenge to keep my promise of 3-4 posts per week...yikes!  But I do have some great new printables to post here in the next few days that I hope you will enjoy!

What have we been up to lately?

I finally updated the kids' bathroom!!!  I painted the walls, stained the cabinets and trim, changed the shower curtain and towels, and got a new toilet seat.  I was a little sad to see the monkeys go...we've had that theme since the old house when Mya was a baby! But I'm loving the owls!!

This is always the worst part of a project like this....the mess!!!

Mason was working hard one evening to help me make stromboli!!!

The kids had Country Western Night at Awana!

We went down to Athens to the Ohio U basketball game last weekend.  It was a last second slam dunk that won the game for the Bobcats....very exciting!!!!

Just Mister earning his allowance...

Mya and I had a mother/daughter night last night.  Dinner out and a trip to Joann's!  She has been planning it for weeks!!!

It was a frigid 5 degrees at the bus stop, but I happen to think the snow is beautiful (and my precious Mya too;))!!!

Enjoy your week, my friends!!! :)Jamie

The Not-So-Fashionable Mom

It's a frigid 0 degrees here in Central Ohio today!!!  In fact, most of the schools around here are closed for the second time this week....Tuesday due to snow and today due to the icy wind chill temps of -25 degrees!!!

So, what have I been up lately? ......

Last year I used my own printable planner pages and an 8.5x11" binder.  This year I'm trying out the Erin Condren Life Planner.  Only 8 days into the new year, and I'm loving it!!!  It probably looks like a jumbled mess of stickers and washi tape and colored gel pen ink to some of you....lol....but it works for me!!!  My personality type is often a bit scattered and my brain is constantly moving from one to-do to the next, so I need to get everything out of it and on paper as soon as I can.

Click HERE to sign up and get $10 off your first order from erincondren.com!

Here is all the stuff I purchased in my first order (it was a birthday gift from my parents).  The covers are removable, so I got an extra one plus some extra stickers, coil clips, and pen holders. It came with several fabulous free stickers too!

I'm kinda obsessed with gel pens, so Mya and I have had fun expressing our creativity on these bitter cold days!!!!!!!!

Isn't this cake so cool?!!  The kids and I made it last week and I thought it turned out so cute!!!  It was a box mix from Duff Goldman's brand.

Mister was ready to go and play in the snow!!!

BRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

Sorry to all of you Alabama fans out there, but I'm a tad bit excited over our Buckeyes' win of the Sugar Bowl last week and the upcoming NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP game on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Buckeyes!!!!  I think I need to post a video tutorial on how to make candy buckeyes, what do you think???

Have a great weekend, my friends!!!
