DIY Flower Banner

Hi everyone! I was so excited to find these cute paper pennants at the Dollar Tree (Spring 2018)!  I originally considered just weaving them through a string, but I thought I'd try connecting them with brads instead.  So quick and easy! I am so pleased with the final result!  This is a beginner-level craft and would be great for kids!

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Paper pennants from Dollar Tree

Brad fasteners (any color)

Mini hole punch (or regular-sized one would work too)

Pink nail polish

Ribbon (optional)

1. Start by punching holes into the top right and left corners of the pennant flag.

2.  Attach the flags together with the brad fasteners.

3.  Use pink nail polish to paint the brad fasteners.

4.  (Optional) Add bows to each end.

Easter Egg Decorating

Every year, Easter egg decorating gets a little longer as the kids' attention spans grow.  So I was expecting at least a good half hour of coloring and decorating eggs this year.

Wow was I wrong!!!  I think this lasted a whopping 10 minutes at the very most!!!!!  Mya did 4 eggs and Mason did 3.  I'm the only one in the family who likes hard boiled eggs, so at least we won't be throwing away tons of them this year!!! Oh well, gotta keep the tradition, right? ;)

I love Pinterest and I'm probably on it 10 times a day.  I was so excited when I saw this cute Easter egg bunny craft! Of course we had to make some at our house, so here they are (slightly modified from the Pinterest idea because we used stick on faces)...

Easter Wreath or Centerpiece

Let me start by saying I'm so sorry that I don't have step-by-step photo instructions on this!!!! I got the idea from this fabulous pin on Pinterest and didn't expect mine to turn out very nice!

Here is how I made it:
Supplies:
-A circle cardboard that came with a frozen pizza-- I cut out the inside of it
-3 bags of the plastic eggs with the designs on them (Walmart, $1.29 ea) and a few misc plain plastic eggs that I had in my Easter decor
-Fake flowers
-Glue gun

Instructions:
Just like Jana did for hers, I glued the first layer of eggs onto the cardboard using my glue gun.  I used a color pattern, but you could just do random and I'm sure it would still look fabulous!

Then I glued some eggs on top until I ran out of the design ones.  I used the plain ones to fill in any gaps and just to change it up a little!!

Lastly, I glued the fake flowers on.  At first it was only to hid the cardboard that was showing, but then I realized it really added a pretty touch to the wreath!!

I decided to use it as a centerpiece instead of a wreath on my front door (because we've had lots of wind and storms lately and we don't have a storm door that would protect my precious craft!) I think I may add a few more flowers to hide the cardboard.
