Food journaling isn't just for losing weight (although it helped me shed all my baby weight plus more after Mason was born 3 years ago!). There are great apps now days to track your food and calories, but some of us prefer the old fashioned food journal! So here is a printable one that will fit nicely into your 3-ring binder or just hang on your fridge!! Download HERE or click on the image below.
You can fill this out a number of different ways. For food journaling to be successful with weight loss, we track food & drink portions and calories for each and every thing we put into our mouth. We figure out our calorie "limit" for the day to reach our goal weight, and try not to exceed it. I won't go into all the details in this blog post, but I can speak from experience that the success rate of using a food journal for weight loss is usually high.
OR....if you're using this journal simply as more of a health log to make sure you are getting enough fruits and vegetables or not too much junk food, or to compare how you feel based on what foods you eat, then you might just jot down food and portions.
I have become less impulsive with Clearance purchases lately, since I'm trying to accumulate less and clean out more this spring! But when I find something that I've been looking for AND it's on sale, I just can't resist!!
Look at these cool felt craft bags I found at Target on clearance for only $6.98 each! (I couldn't find them on target.com, so maybe they are in stores only/limited edition???) My first thought was how perfect they would be in the van for car rides to my parents', in-laws' or on vacations.
I added the glitter letter stickers (Big Lots) and filled the bags with some snacks and activities for our little road trip down to my parents' yesterday. The kids also took them in to the basketball game with them. Mya's had notebooks, stickers, markers, and snacks. Mason's had Thomas trains, snacks, stamp markers, and his new basketball notebook that he got from Grandpa's secret bucket:)
At the beginning of the year, we had a Troop Supply Drive where all the girls drew a card of a supply that they would bring to donate to the troop. We called it a Troop Birthday Present!! Here are free printable cards that you can use for your troop! The first page has pre-filled items and the second has blank cards that you can fill in yourself. Enjoy!!!
These documents can be downloaded above. However, if you are having difficulty or are getting an error message, just email me and I am happy to send them! Please be specific in what your are requesting. Allow one week.

Oh my goodness do I love fries! Most of the time I bypass them for a stupid healthy salad. But I'm sucked into the marketing deception of Burger King's satis-fries!!! They are so delicious!!! I know they're still loaded with fat and calories, even if it is 30% less calories, but I eat them at least twice a month now. ❤️❤️❤️ My weakness, for sure!
Most of my Girl Scouts printables are free, but like the Daisies & Brownies Scrapbook, I had to make an exception to this new Juniors Scrapbook Pages Set for one reason: the amount of time I spent to create it! But don't worry, this instant download is only $4.00 in my Etsy Shop! Or if you enter JUNIORS in the promo code at checkout, it's only $2.00!!!!
I've had some requests for a 2-page versions of my monthly calendars. The owl one is available in my Etsy shop, but here is a spring flower one that you can download for FREE!! This is 8.5x11" size and fits nicely into a 3-ring binder! Enjoy:)
Wow was my jewelry an absolute mess!!!!!!! I was not utilizing my organizers and I was hanging up necklaces on random hooks and leaving earrings on my bathroom counter....yikes!!! I decided it was time to get a handle on the chaos. I laid out all my jewelry on my closet floor, sorted, purged, purged some more, organized and finally have a solution for the time being. At some point I probably need to invest in a nice jewelry armoire, but for now, this works fine. (Note: Almost all of my jewelry is costume jewelry, very inexpensive, from jewelry parties, or gifts!)
THE PROCESS (I couldn't even embarrass myself with a BEFORE pic. It was a big messy disaster)......
I was using these wonderful organizers for misc jewelry that I never even wore. (The dress one is from Charming Charlie, the other was a gift to me from my mother in law.) There are pins that I've earned in Mary Kay, jewelry that Mya and I made, old stuff from my teenage years, etc.
I sorted all my pink earrings onto one earring holder (TJ Maxx). Other colorful earrings are behind them on the black organizer that I got several months ago on clearance at Clarie's along with the bracelet holders (which actually fit into a hanging holder that I didn't have a place for at the moment).
And now I'm using both of the hanging organizers for beaded necklaces, stretch bracelets, and bracelets that I actually wear!!!!
This holder is for all my silver earrings and necklaces.
This tray (clearance at Target!) is for watches, Mya's earrings, pins and pendants.
Lastly is this flower container from the Container Store. It holds all my Pandora beads and Origami Owl charms and lockets.
What a difference a little organizing makes!!! Now I can actually see my jewelry!!!!
